Asian-Pacific share markets mostly gained Tuesday, boosted by a tax-cut extension in the U.S. and an austerity plan in Ireland. Japan's Nikkei 225 and New Zealand's NZX 50 fell 0.3%, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.8%. China's Shanghai Composite climbed 0.7%, South Korea's Kospi Composite advanced 0.5% and Taiwan's Taiex closed unchanged. In afternoon trading, India's Sensex slipped 0.2%, Singapore's Straits Times Index gained 0.3% and Thailand's SET went up 0.8%
