Positive 2011 outlook boosts Asian-Pacific stock markets

Shares gained on most Asian-Pacific markets Thursday as the Federal Reserve's loose monetary policy fueled money inflow. Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 1.1%, South Korea's Kospi Composite rose 0.4% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index inched up 0.1%. Australia's S&P/ASX 200, China's Shanghai Composite and New Zealand's NZX 50 added 0.3%. Taiwan's Taiex climbed 0.5%, while Singapore's Straits Times Index gained 0.3% and India's Sensex advanced 0.5% in afternoon trading. Full story here
