U.S. sales increase as holiday shopping enters the home stretch

Retailers in the U.S. might end up seeing their best holiday-shopping season since 2006. In-store sales for the final weekend before Christmas were up 5.5% compared with the same weekend last year. Online sales were up 12% during the first 49 days of the season compared with the same period last year, according to researcher ComScore. Full story here
