BP might still be able to salvage its Russian oil deal

Although it seems doomed, BP's mammoth Arctic oil venture with Russia's Rosneft might still be saved, according to The Economist. With most of the tough issues resolved, only a legal disagreement prevented a deal from being signed by the deadline at midnight Monday. "There's still room" to resume negotiations, a source close to the deal told the magazine. Full story here
