U.S. consumer bureau will test mortgage forms in plain English

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will test streamlined mortgage-disclosure forms that will tell borrowers, for the first time in plain language, what a mortgage will cost. Two versions of the forms will be tested in focus groups of real estate professionals, consumers and lenders, the bureau said. "It is always good for consumers to know the real cost of a mortgage," said Elizabeth Warren, a consultant who is helping the government set up the agency. Full story here
