Google Launched e-book Store

Google has launched it much awaited internet book store. At present, this store is available in US only. The store has more than 15 million ( 1 million is equal to 10 lakhs) of books. Google has scanned all these book in last six years. Around 4000 publishers are allowing their recently released book in Google's book store.

Books purchased from store can be read via any machine including e-book reader, iPad, iPhone, machine powered by Google's Operating System - Android.

This store will give direct challenge to Amazon. e-Book market is growing with  a tremendous growth rate. Experts state that it would touch US$1.7 billion in US by the end of 2012. At present, Amazon is the leading player in the e-Book market. However, its share would be decrease drastically in next five years. Spencer Wang, Analyst at Credit Suisse said that Amazon's share in e-Book will reduced from current 90% to 35% by 2015.
