The proposed merger of Deutsche Boerse and NYSE Euronext could spur opportunities for rival bourses, such as London Stock Exchange Group, insiders said. "Even if the competition authorities don't require DB-NYSE to spin off parts of the business, it could still present an opportunity to LSE to the extent that it is able to offer a competitive alternative," an expert said.
