FCC approves rules for Internet broadband service

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission adopted on a 3-2 party-line vote its first rules aimed at preventing Internet service providers from managing their networks in a way that discriminates against competitors. The Net-neutrality rules impose tighter controls on wired Internet services than on wireless operators. Full story here
